Passionately keen on rail model making from early childhood,
I have always been fascinated by the loveliness, the subtlety of details,
the diversity in shapes and colours of locomotives.
Enthusiastic collector and frantic archivist as I am, I launched out into
the compiling of rail model catalogs.
I started with european countries but soon I realized that other fields of
investigation (such as the U.S. and Japan for example) were opening widely
in front of my eyes. The diversity of models manufactured all around the world
was so large that I had to build up a filing system allowing listing of the
various locomotives produced by the numerous rail model brands. This is how
my project came to life seven years ago.
Marklin, Fleischmann, Trix, Bemo, Klein, Piko, Kato, Athearn,...throughout
40 rail model brands examined in detail, I am proud to present a selection
of 300 catalogs, in which over 9000 models were found in 2800 and trains laid
out so far.
Each model ..... and fabirquant, year of production and the manufacturing
number.
Each engine model is filed according to its native country
and serial number. Each scale model comes along with a picture, name of manufacturer
and year of production.
This whole work results from a raw passion and therefore probably comprises
a few defects. Of course, it is potentially a never-ending work that will
need regular updating ...
Thank you for sharing my passion..
